The Becker and Hickl (B&H) multiwavelength fluorescence lifetime imaging (FLIM) system is designed as an upgrade to laser scanning microscopes. It is an excellent choice for tissue autofluorescence imaging, combined FLIM, second harmonic generation (SHG) imaging, and fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) experiments.
The multiwavelength FLIM detector is based on B&H's proprietary multidimensional time correlated single photon counting (TCSPC) technique in combination with a spectrograph and a 16-channel detector.
The system attaches easily to the non-descanned (direct) ports of commonly used multiphoton laser scanning microscopes. The multiwavelength FLIM detector collects light from a large sample area and thus features excellent sensitivity even for deep tissue layers.
A version for one-photon (confocal) microscopes with fiber output is also available.
