G2V Optics

G2V Optics is developing and building the most advanced LED solar simulation on the market.

Founded by scientist and researcher Michael Taschuk in 2013, the first generation of G2V Optics technology was developed at the National Institute of Nanotechnology and the University of Alberta, Edmonton in Canada.

This light technology, can test everything from water splitting reactions to satellites heading to outer space. The ground-breaking technology can also mimic different natural seasons, geographic locations in the world and even specific daily light occurrences such as a sunrise.

In less than five years, G2V has moved from a tiny basement operation to become the technology partner of some of the most prestigious and well-known companies and research institutions in the world.

G2V — which is a scientific classification for the sun — was founded to apply innovative technology and data-driven, collaborative design toward solutions for our planet’s most pressing issues.

Starting with the highest-precision spectral replication ever produced, G2V continues to raise the bar with innovative features that empower better, faster solar testing of materials and devices.
