The SPC-160PCIE time correlated single photon counting (TCSPC) fluorescence lifetime imaging (FLIM) module from Becker and Hickl (B&H) features a peripheral component interconnect express (PCIE) interface. This module offers high end performance TCSPC and multiscalar imaging and fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS) for laser scanning microscopes.
The SPC-160PCIE has an electrical time resolution of 2.5ps root mean square (RMS) for ultra fast detectors, input discriminator bandwidth of 4GHz, sub-picpsecond low frequency timing wobble and improved dead time of 80ns. The SPC-160PCIE is the highest performing single photon counting card from B&H.
The card operates in TCSPC imaging as well as multiscalar imaging modes to offer increased flexibility.
The SPC-160PCIE card features a dual memory architecture for unlimited sequential recording of decay curves in memory and is supplied with the 64 bit single photon counting module (SPCM) Windows control software which enables a large amount of memory to be addressed.
The SPC-160PCIE features the high speed interface for laser scanning microscopes. It can be supplied as part of B&H's FLIM systems where it can record FLIM data with unprecedented numbers of pixels and time channels as large as 2048x2048 pixels and 256 time channels, or 1024x1024 pixels and 1024 time channels
Becker and Hickl offer a complementary range of short pulsed diode lasers that are ideal excitation sources for TCSPC measurements.
