Transient absorption spectrometer HARPIA is an instrument for measuring femtosecond transient absorption spectra and kinetics.

The new and improved HARPIA offers a sleek and compact design and a more intuitive user experience. Adhering to the standards raised by Light Conversion’s own ORPHEUS family of optical parametric amplifiers, the entire spectroscopic system is now contained in a single monolithic housing that ensures excellent optical stability, and minimal optical path for the interacting beams. The new HARPIA can be easily integrated with both PHAROS/ORPHEUS and Ti:Sapphire/TOPAS laser systems. It features market leading characteristics such as 10-5 resolvable signals, and the unique ability to operate at up to 1MHz repetition rates. Operation at these higher repetition rates allows measurement of transient absorption dynamics while exciting with extremely low pulse energies, thereby avoiding exciton annihilation effects in energy transferring systems or nonlinear recombination in semiconductor/nanoparticle samples.
