The Koheras BasiK Standard is a narrow linewidth fiber laser available at 1550.12nm and 1064.00nm and special systems anywhere in the 1535–1580nm and 1030–1120nm ranges. Depending on the model, output powers are 10-40mW.

Product Description

Koheras BASIK Modules are narrow linewidth, ultra low noise, stable single frequency fiber laser supplied in a small, compact OEM module. Offering up to 10-40mW output power in the wavelength range 1535-1580nm for the X15, E15 and X15 models or the 1030-1120nm range for the Y15 model.

The Koheras BASIK systems are based on a truly single mode, single frequency DFB (Distributed-Feedback) Fiber Laser with extremely high frequency stability and low phase and intensity noise. The Koheras BASIK is available for operation at different wavelength ranges and with different characteristics on linewidth, and phase and intensity noise as follows:

E15/X15 - is an Erbium doped fiber laser system for operation in the 1530-1585 nm wavelength range offering the lowest phase and frequency noise and narrowest linewidth of the entire laser portfolio.

C15 - is a co-doped Erbium/Ytterbium fiber laser system for operation in the 1530-1585 nm wavelength range offering the lowest intensity noise (RIN) and is shut noise limited.

Y10 - is an Ytterbium doped fiber laser.

This BASIK lasers are typically offered as compact modules for industrial OEM integration, but they are also designed as a building block for higher power bench-top systems such as the ADJUSTIK or BOOSTIK. Any interferometric use that requires high frequency stability or a long coherence length will benefit from this type of laser technology.

The typical applications include seismic sensing such as oil and gas exploration and exploitation, security (perimeter and pipeline detection), and structural health monitoring. Furthermore, the low intensity noise of the lasers combined with the high spectral stability make them ideal as sources for wind LIDAR systems used for the wind turbine and aerospace industry
