Mirsense groundbreaking new 10 – 17 microns DFB quantum cascade laser product line has been selected by 30 judges as one of the top three finalists for ‘smart sensing’ Prism Award 2021. The uniMir line of narrow linewidth QCL lasers were chosen from an unprecedented number of entries to secure a position in the top 3. The Photonics West organization will announce the winners in March.
The UniMir line of narrow linewidth Quantum Cascade Lasers (QCL Series) from mirSense are now available in groundbreaking new wavelengths, including 11.3µm, 13.4µm, 14µm, and 14.9µm, to address the important class of aromatics known as BTEX (benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes).
Until now, QCLs only covered the wavelength range from 4 to 10µm, where many chemical species are detected (NO, N2O, NH3, CH4, COH2, CO, CO2, SO3, etc.). This new generation of rugged, lightweight, ultra-compact QCLs produce up to 10mW CW, and are available in HHL and turnkey configurations. Find out more here.
