SIR Spectrometers use a single point detector and a high angular resolution tunable grating. This combination along with a 24 bit Analog to Digital Converter provides high spectral resolution and high signal to noise data. SIR Spectrometers can be software configured to deliver data over the entire spectral range or provide real time data at a specific wavelength.
The SIR Spectrometers are designed with a rugged aluminum housing which is robust enough to withstand the rigours of chemical processing applications. Data interface can be accomplished through the analyser's USB or a serial interface. On board data processing can be accomplished with a powerful microprocessor. Synchronization with external components and light sources is accomplished through a 14 pin digital interface.
There are five standard configurations based on detector type and wavelength range: A hybrid silicon and InGaAs detector for 400 - 1700nm (SIR1700), an InGaAs detector for 900 - 2600 nm (SIR2600), an InAs detector 1000 - 3400nm (SIR 3400) and an MCT detector for both the 2 - 5 μm (SIR 5000) and the 3 - 6.5 μm ranges (SIR 6500).
