Argon Ion Laser
Photonic Solutions supply the JDS Uniphase range of high quality, air cooled Argon Ion lasers. JDSU Argon Ion lasers are exceptionally stable and reliable light sources with a proven record of excellence. These laser heads are available in an industry standard rectangular or cylindrical package. All JDS Uniphase Argon Ion lasers feature fast warm-up and axial air-flow to help ensure even temperature distribution. Tight manufacturing tolerances and pre-aligned laser tubes ease installation and minimise field replacement and end user realignment. The cylindrical packages offer unsurpassed mechanical stability, vibration isolation and beam pointing stability.
JDSU have recently invested in new manufacturing facilities in Asia and are workinf with many of their customers on supply agreements to guarantee long term supply (up to 10 years). This indicates the level of committment JDSU have to the air cooled argon business and the anticipated longevity of this product line.
Photonic Solutions offer the 2211/2214 Series Argon Ion lasers which feature cylindrical (2214) or rectangular (2211) housings and are available with output power up to 65mW at wavelengths of 458, 488 and 515nm. Also available is JDSU's 2213 High Power Argon Ion laser. This cylindrical laser operates at 458, 488, 514nm or multiline and with powers up to 75mW at 488nm or 150mW multiline. Finally JDSU's 2218/2219 Ultra Series of Argon Ion lasers feature cylindrical/rectangular housings and are available with output power up to 30mW again at wavelengths of 488, 458 and 515nm.
